Day 1: Departure
From the airport of origin to São Paulo, non-stop or according to the airline.
Day 2: Arrival in Foz do Iguaçu
Morning landing in São Paulo. Connection to Foz do Iguaçu. Flight time: 1 hour and 30 minutes. Transfer to the hotel. All formalities were settled in advance. A welcome drink is served upon check-in. Registration takes place in a separate room.

The world’s most spectacular waterfalls, a huge national park and the largest hydroelectric power plant in the world, are the pride of the 270,000 inhabitants of Foz do Lguaçu. The waterfalls in the south of the city (on the borders of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil) are a natural wonder. 275 small and large waterfalls make their way between the rocks and the rainforest and fall with an incredible force up to 82 meters deep. Often, rainbows form and water varies depending on the content of lime and minerals. The flora and fauna of the region are extremely varied.

Excursion to the cascades (Brazilian side) and bird park (about six hours)
During an interesting half-day excursion, we will visit the spectacular waterfalls on the Brazilian side. A wonder of nature that we can admire as close as possible.
You get a fantastic view of the falls and the Argentine coastline. Then follow a one-kilometer path through the forest and maybe discover birds, butterflies and other small animals. Step by step you will see more and more of these huge waterfalls and end up a few meters from the masses of water that fall on a platform. An unforgettable natural spectacle! Then take the elevator to the main road. You can enjoy a guided tour of a park of exotic birds, where colorful animals can move almost freely between tropical plants.
It is an adventurous way to discover the waterfalls and the national park. By jeep through the jungle and with the Zodiac outboard to the waterfalls (about two hours, no meals). Departure from the hotel on the Cataratas road. With the classics “Willy” -Jeeps we drive on a natural path through the forest. Stops to see the flora and fauna. After the visit, continue on foot, 600 meters through the forest to the waterfalls of Macuco, then on the banks of the river Iguaçu. Here, the most spectacular part of the tour starts safely, Zodiac Boats (outboard motorboats) with a capacity of 12-20 passengers, we go upstream in the middle of the Iguaçu Canyon, where we have to near a breathtaking view of the Iguacu waterfalls. Enjoy the waterfalls. When the water level of the river allows, we can approach the waterfalls, which will be an unforgettable experience. Then return to the hotel. Free afternoon

A regular helicopter flight over the “Cataratas” waterfall takes ten minutes. 35-minute flights can also be booked in advance. These include the triangle of three countries, the cities of Foz de Iguaçu (Brazil), Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) and Ciudad del Este (Paraguay), as well as the Itaipu dam (the largest in the world ).

Day 3 – Foz do Iguaçu
Falls Argentinean side (about 6 hours)
In comparison with the Brazilian side, one is even closer to the cascades. A train will take you to a platform from which you have a spectacular view of the largest waterfall, the “Devil’s Gorge”. On the upper path, you can discover the masses of water that fall from above. Then you will reach the lower path, where you can admire the game of nature from below. Private dinner and gaucho party on a farm
Today we have a great night Gaucho. The Gauchos are the cowboys of southern Brazil and northern Argentina. We spend the evening on a farm, a few kilometers from the city. The farm is located in the middle of very green and lush vegetation. The total area is 100’000 m2 with lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. We are greeted with fireworks in the colonial building. The Gauchas (young ladies) welcome us in their typical costumes with a caipirinha and a cup of hot black beans. The barbecue is not just a meal for the Gauchos, but a cultural and gastronomic event that is celebrated almost every day. A unique experience to get to know the gauchos in one evening and see with what pride and joy they prepare the meat. One group plays wonderful folk music and a dance group performs the many traditional dances, including Argentinean tango, Paraguayan polka and various styles of Brazilian dance. Everyone is invited to participate.
Day 4 – Foz do Iguaçu – Rio de Janeiro
In the morning, visit the Itaipu Dam
Itaipu (guaraní: Itá = “rock, stone”), also called “Itaipu Binacional” due to the participation of two nations, is the name of the Itaipu hydroelectric power station and the Itaipu dam on the Paraná River between Paraguay and Brasil. Until the completion of the Three Gorges reservoir in the People’s Republic of China in 2006, Itaipu was the largest power plant on the planet. Due to the large capacity of the turbines, Itaipu remains the number one in terms of annual energy production even after 2006. We are going from the Brazilian side, on the outskirts of Foz do Iguaçu, the reception center, where a film on the construction and operation of the system is depicted and several times of which leave daily bus trips to the power station.

Transfer to the airport. Departure late afternoon from Foz do Iguaçu to Rio de Janeiro. Flight Time: 2 hours

About Rio de Janeiro
Rio is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Gracefully nestled between the mountains and the sea, it combines a relaxed urban life with the virgin forest and the beach. At the top of the Rio, mountain is the Corcovado 709 meters high with the statue of Jesus (Cristo Redentor, ie Christ the Redeemer). You have an indescribable view of the dream city and its illustrious beaches. On the Corcovado, there is a cogwheel train that takes you to the foot of the 38-meter high statue. The trip leads through the Atlantic rainforest. You can visit Sugar Loaf by cable car from Praia Vermelha. From its 395 meters high, you can see the picturesque bay of Guanabara with the neighborhoods of Botafogo and Flamengo. To the west are the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon, in the background Pedra da Gávea. To the north, you can see the Rio Niterói bridge, the connection to the sun coast. Rio impresses with its savoir-vivre. mixes the old and the new in a joyful atmosphere that welcomes you with open arms and immediately captures your heart. The city that never sleeps offers music, dance, culture, good food, and good entertainment 24 hours a day. And if the hustle is too big, around the big city, a total length of 90 kilometers extend, which invites you to relax and swim.
Day 5 – Rio de Janeiro
Full day and evening (12 hours): boat trip, rainforest, Corcovado (lunch and dinner included)
In the morning you will be picked up at the hotel. Take an eco-ferry from Marapendi Lagoon to Giboia Island (about 1.5 hours), open bar (free drinks) during the cruise (beer, caipirinha, soft drinks, mineral water, fruit juice). If desired, an anglophone biologist accompanies the group.

In the afternoon, take the cog railway through the world’s largest urban rainforest, the Tijuca Forest to the Corcovado. It is located in the heart of Rio and separates the south from the north. Already on the 25 minutes by car, you can enjoy the fresh air and the wonderful view. Once you reach the summit, you will reach the stairs and/or the elevators in just a few minutes until the statue of Christ 38 meters high. Here is Rio at your feet. The panorama is unique!

Day 6 – Rio de Janeiro
Full day and evening (12 hours): visit of the city and the Sugar Loaf (lunch and dinner included)
The tour begins at 09:30. You head directly to the historic center of Rio, which we explore on foot. Rio de Janeiro was founded in 1565 and was the capital of Brazil for 197 years. In the center are still many traces of the past. A typical tour takes the semi-circular canals of Lapa, the ancient Carioca aqueduct of 1723. Another highlight is the imperial palace, where the Declaration of Independence of Brazil was signed, as well as the charming little art museum beside it.
Lunch at the Confeitaria Colombo
A visit to this magnificent restaurant opened in 1894 in the center of Rio is a must! In a fraction of a second, you escape the hectic turmoil of the modern city and feel back in the past, at more elegant times.
The bus takes us to the famous football stadium of Maracanã and the Sambodrome, where the big parades of competition take place during the carnival.
Then head to the Sugar Loaf in the Urca district. The Sugar Loaf can be reached by a cable car, divided into two sectors.
The first ride takes you to Urca Hill, 220 meters above sea level. After a first glance and a short walk, you can take the second cable car to the top, 396 meters above sea level, above sea level. From here you have an unforgettable view of the city.
Rio at night: Restaurant Marius Degustare
One of the best restaurants in Rio that offers a wide selection of cold and hot dishes. The meat is brought to the tables.
Rio Scenarium (separate entrance for the group and with reservation of table)
Then we move to the Rio Scenarium, a music hall frequented by local people. The
Rio Scenarium is a three-story building in the center of Lapa. Previously, antiques were in this building, and still today it has the charm of ancient installations. This is where the Cariocas come to listen to authentic live music, especially the Samba with artists more or less known. There is a floor for everyone. The lower the group, the noisier it becomes. And more and more visitors arrive throughout the evening. On the dance floor, dance professionals and beginners dance and have fun.
Day 7 – Return trip
Free time until the departure time for shopping, beach, swimming pool. Transfer to the airport
